3. SharePoint Syntex brings in Content Assembly.
First, let me briefly tell you about SharePoint Syntex.
SharePoint Syntex is a service from Microsoft 365 that makes it easy for your company to do three main things:
- Use AI and machine learning to make knowledge workers’ life more manageable.
- Automate content processing with the help of machine learning and OCR capabilities
- Automatically turn content into knowledge that your employees can use in the future. Improving productivity for all your employees.
With SharePoint Syntex, you can use AI and machine learning to organise and classify the documents in your SharePoint library smartly and automatically.
With Syntex, business processes are made more robust by intelligently using the data inside your content.
Syntex helps your team label and group your content more accurately, and you can use this information to improve business processes. Your business will be better organised if your data is better collected.
4. What’s new in SharePoint Syntex – Content Assembly
Using Content Assembly, you may construct a new contract, invoice, letter, or document using pre-existing data sources.
Alternatively, you can use AI to transform a current document into a template you can utilise for your company’s particular requirements.
Example
Let’s assume your customer service department hears criticism and compliments directed at your firm, products or services you sell.
Let us take them (the customer service department) to do this using Syntex to process the different bits of material.
The team quickly determines the specific complaint that has to be addressed with the help of an advanced metadata search.
Afterwards, the group will discuss the information in SharePoint and decide on the subsequent actions.
After the group/team has decided, the superior can approve or reject it. Using Content Assembly, the team can swiftly send a message to the customer, addressing their issues or saying thank you.

5. Shared Channels are rolling out for the public in MS Team Connect.

Microsoft Teams Connect makes it easier and more streamlined to collaborate with people outside the company, which helps achieve outcomes more quickly and strengthens connections with your partners.
Using shared channels, you can build a shared workspace for internal and external stakeholders directly from your Teams account.
And it’s not just the content; you can also conduct discussions, plan meetings, exchange and co-author documents, and work together on apps without ever having to switch tenants.
You were required to create a different Teams team for external sharing in the past. However, Shared channels are one step closer to managing your internal business and your external partner inside the same workspace – a single team with many channels (standard, private, and now shared).
6. Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) encrypted document co-authoring is available on mobiles (iOS and Android).
Microsoft has added the long-requested feature of co-authoring MIP-encrypted documents on iOS and Android devices.
This helps your employees be more productive even when they are.
You need to update the Office app on your mobiles and enable co-authoring in the Microsoft 365 compliance centre.
7. Managed Metadata – add taxonomy from modern SharePoint Library views.
SharePoint lists are the backbone of SharePoint document libraries. There was a massive request from SharePoint modern view users to add Managed Metadata in SharePoint document libraries.
Bring managed structure into how taxonomy applies to list items and document libraries.
This helps in better discovery and governance of information.
8. SharePoint: Display images from Microsoft Lists in Power Apps.
The photos kept in the image columns of Microsoft Lists may now be accessed and used with Power Apps image controls.
They may be used as small, medium, big, or full-size images.
9. SharePoint: Auto-News Digest – Email to employees
The SharePoint Auto-News Digest feature will notify employees in your organisation through automatic email about the most recent blog articles in the News category that they have not yet seen.
Employees get an email from SharePoint with a curated selection of recent news articles. This selection works with the assistance of Microsoft intelligence.
The staffs get an opportunity to catch up on the News that they would not have been able to access otherwise.
Because the digest contains only published news articles and employees have access to all the news items they are given, it is safe to presume that employees will not read news they do not have the authorisation to see.
Email receivers may find the unsubscribe option at the bottom of each email that contains the Auto-News Digest. Employees who no longer want to receive the digest can use this button.
10. Yammer is now in dark mode with retention policies for Yammer user chats and Yammer Communities.
I am very fond of dark mode, and it’s easy on the eyes. Microsoft has now finally got dark mode for Yammer.
After a retention policy is created for Yammer messages, the content’s pathways depend on whether the retention policy is to retain and then delete, retain only, or delete only.
The default setting for a retention policy is to retain and then delete.
